Process:
(1st Class Period)
- Take virtual trip to an art museum in your area on a computer. Discuss what the students see.
- Fold card stock horizontal, open up and fold vertical. Open up again and cut from bottom center to middle. (Looks like a pair of pants) Fold bottom over other bottom piece and glue. (Creates corner of room)
- Cut small squares of white paper & cut color frames to go around them
- Design each 2-D “artwork” in a different style- collage, landscape, portrait, etc.
- Create sculpture using 3 pieces of wire- glue or poke on paper shapes. Tape wire onto back so it may hang inside of “room.”
- Create freestanding sculpture with Model Magic or clay for center of room
