McWhirter Elementary [email protected] I have been an elementary art teacher for 10 years and I can’t imagine having another job! I am not a master at any one media, but love to explore and learn along with my students. My passion for art is demonstrated in the classroom by the diversity of student artistic challenges, school community involvement and the smiles on my student’s faces. I’m always looking for ways to grow in my teaching and am willing to share all that I learn with students and colleagues. I have a special knack for organization (I label everything!) and love to share art from around the world with my students. A friend recently told me about a website called Pinterest and I have been addicted to “pinning” ever since. There are endless ideas from great art teachers regarding lesson planning, creativity enhancers and classroom management. Check it out if you get a chance, you’ll love it! |
